Who could be more dynamic than an athlete who has been through it all and stood on an medal podium?
Whether you’re casting for a documentary series, a panel show, or looking for a new featured guest, each of our athletes make exceptional additions to TV shows and media programs. Their experiences also make them great commentators for any sporting event.
Our athletes are trained and prepared to be in front of a camera thanks to attention from outlets like the BBC, ITV, Sky, and Channel 4 to YouTube series and many more.
All inquiries and opportunities are welcome – we love to discuss new ways for Metis Athletes to take part.
Hear incredible stories, first-hand: Imagine being told you have a brain tumour in the midst of RAF testing, or being an Olympian on the verge of death with doctors demanding you never compete again.
Our athletes know what it takes to be the best you can possibly be in your field and have a unique way of conveying and motivating corporate teams.
Metis Athletes can deliver, whether you’re looking for them to inspire with their moving stories of winning against the odds, or share their years of experiences and knowledge of topics such as:
When you’ve taken the time to put on an amazing event for your staff, clients, or the public, there are few things better than a unique and unexpected speaker to engage, inspire and encourage your audience.
Our athletes have a wealth of experience in after dinner and event speaking to public sector groups, law firms, financial institutions and an array of corporate enterprises.
They have made appearances for organizations like Sky, DNA Definitive, and Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.
Each of their success stories never fail to rouse and impress those they tell.
Our athletes have an innate ability to promote and drive your brand because they themselves are driven.
If you’re looking for unique exposure and links to new and evolving markets, Metis Athlete Management has the resources. Our Titans are engaging and come with dedicated fans and followers.
Build your brand with a MAM ambassador through social media, branding on equipment, clothing, personal websites and more.
All of our athletes train full-time, so brand exposure is both consistent and prominent. Think of the opportunities during competition at European and World events in non-Olympic years and year-round training sessions. Titans stay connected with their audience year round and their social media accounts are all monitored and controlled by team MAM.
Metis Athletes can be extremely handy in introducing products to new areas of the world and adding a sense of unrivaled passion to your brand.
Metis Athlete Management is designed for athletes, by athletes. We understand what it takes to win because we have our own World Titles, National Records, and Olympic medals. MAM works with Olympians, Paralympians, and professional athletes in addition to National level youth and junior athletes.
We believe that athletes should be supported throughout their career, regardless of which sport they excel in. One of our goals is to help develop those in possession of skill sets that are often underrepresented, including Paralympic sport.
Everyone on #teamMAM competed at the highest level in their sports and as a result we are passionate about helping the next wave of athletes reach their potential. Not only do we support athletes in their day to day lives, we handle sponsorship acquisition, marketing, public appearances, and diary management.
By working with our partners and elite peer groups, we have a purely athlete-driven approach. We work with each of our Titans to develop their path to success, ensuring high performance on the world stage.
The name of our company is based in Greek Mythology. Metis was a Titaness who exemplified prudence, wisdom, and wise counsel. As the mother of Athena, she was highly regarded by Athenians, often giving counsel to Zeus during the Titan War.
Metis encapsulates the philosophy and drive behind our company mission: ensuring each athlete gets the best counsel and wise wisdom available.
Our Gold level is reserved for those at the top of their game. These Metis athletes are Senior sporting professionals, Paralympians, World Champions, World Record breakers, Commonwealth Games medallists, and world-class contributors across a range of Olympic, Paralympic and non-Olympic sports. They compete at the pinnacle of their sport, and are all truly inspiring individuals. They are representative of Metis in every way.
Those categorized as Silver level athletes are at an elite, transitional level in their careers. In addition to the support given in the Bronze level, Metis also provides insights necessary to athletes who are preparing to turn professional. The Silver category is primarily geared toward the Youth level of sport, supporting the top Youth athletes in their given sport.
Our Bronze level athletes form the foundation of our support network. This category is aimed at junior level athletes who are just breaking into the high performance pathway in their sport and looking to develop skills both in and out of sport. Metis utilises our experience and mentoring qualifications to guide these athletes through their early sporting careers and help support the difficult choices around balancing education, sport, training, and time management.
Ali moved to the UK at 6 months old from Lebanon. Living in Leeds he previously competed internationally in Judo. In 2009, Ali was diagnosed with incurable inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease). Due to this illness, he retired from sport.
In 2010 Ali’s career and life was invigorated when he underwent life saving surgery. Just 4 months later, Ali finished 5th at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Ali went on to develop and improve within power lifting, finishing a frustrating 4th at the London Paralympic Games due to a judging error. He quickly put the disappointment behind him and in one year became the World Champion, broke the World Record twice, and won a Commonwealth Games Bronze medal.
Ali came home from Rio 2016 with a Silver medal and a renewed determination to compete in Tokyo 2020, and we can’t think of anyone who deserved it more.

Rob was born with his disability, but refused to be treated differently. With a high performance sporting family, Rob was determined to match his family history and excel in sport in spite of disability.
Growing up, Rob played both football and cricket for his school, mixing in with the best of them. At 14 years old, Rob’s ability to compete with his peers took a major set back when his right foot was amputated. This ended Rob’s sporting days at school until the announcement that the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games would be hosted in London.
Inspired by this incredible news, Rob turned his attention to Paralympic sport, determined to excel on the biggest stage in the world. Rob proactively contacted the British Paralympic Association and was subsequently invited to a try the sports day.
With a history of playing volleyball on the beaches of Australia, Sitting Volleyball was a natural fit for a team player like Rob.
Fast forward 10 years and Rob has quite the track record: 99 caps for Great Britain, voted the British captain for the last 8 years, competed in European, World and Paralympic Games, and 4 British Titles.
After a successful London 2012 Paralympic Games, Rob has turned his focus to another life long dream of his: to be both a summer and winter Paralympian. Having been talent spotted by Para Skeleton, Rob is now training hard in preparation for Para Skeleton ahead of the 2018 winter Games.
Labels like ‘driven’ and ‘passionate’ do not even begin to describe the incredible character that Rob embodies. He is a truly inspirational addition to the Metis family.
